So last week went from a avg to bad week for training. I was starting off the week with planning to adding 2 swims , and 1 extra speed run for the entire week.
Lets just say work, life and the cosmos had some other plans. Did monday with the swim and the speed work. Felt good.
Come around to tuesday and I get home to find the maintenance people have managed to lock us out of the apt. That is frustrating when you have to do a bike ride on the trainer. As great as our apt building is , they have taken away the call forwarding to maintenance. So unless you know the super-secret maintenance number you can’t get in touch with them after hours. Rhian and I called and they said they would have someone out soon. We went to the local wine bar and had a glass of wine. By the time we got back in it was too late to do a workout.
Wednesday I managed to sneak in the bike ride I was meant to do. Felt really low on energy.
Thursday tried to go out for a run, but was way under-dressed for the weather came back in after 2mins.
Friday was another day off. From wednesday to friday it was hell at work, just dealing with a number of issues, trying to juggle different things. Was working an avg of 13hrs a day , and sleeping at around 12am. By friday I was burnt out.
Come around to sat. I woke up early at 6:30 am to go for a bike ride. Started getting ready and decided I was just too mentally beat to go. Took a nap , followed by food, followed by another nap.
Sunday finally was able to get a run in. Felt pretty flat during the run but hey I got out there.
So onto a new week of training. Lets not have too many like the previous weeks.
